He is born in Dubai, UAE, where my brother and sis in law have been working for several years now. I really am not worried about them since they have a very strong and well-knit community of Filipinos there.
I am happy that my mother is able to witness this day. Now my wish is that my nephew grows up guided physically by my mom since she is sick and in pain almost everyday now.
Thanks Kuya Philip. The name of our baby (as I'm sure you know by now) is Raphael Xanti, named after his grandfathers. Raphael is a variation of my father's name Rodolfo (Ralph, Rolf, etc) and Xanti is Basque for St. James. Surprisingly, Jason and I also found out that he has almost the same name as the painter and architect Raphael Sanzio/Santi (just pure coincidence, as we came up with the name before we found out the artist Raphael's full name).
TumugonBurahinGaling! I decided to post a picture of him here to accompany my entry. I hope the three of you can go home so the grandparents can see the little boy. I hope the two of you are growing stronger each day. Kumusta si Jason as a dad?
