A Fighting President

Her longest SONA yet the most interesting.  Never mind the enumeration of accomplishments--they are exaggerations anyhow. Sinong presidente ba ang hindi nag-exaggerate? Nor kahit na sinong nag-report ng kanilang accomplishments? 

I would like to focus on the plans, the laws she requested congress to urgently pass.  The protection of OCWs investments.  The Department of ICT and others.  

And then the jabs she made of her critics. Amazing lines.  I can see the headlines tomorrow. These jabs were jewels.   Statemanship was thrown out of the window though not totally.  The "bangaw" in President Aquino's speech in December 1989 was lower.  

And therefore the SONA was not boring.  Kahit si Enrile yata, nagulat.  Well, she got a year to do her job and not a day longer.
