It's a good thing I watched it at an SM cinema. My Advantage Card gave me a ten peso discount to a ticket that is already relatively cheap compared to Robinson's and Promenade.
Shyamalan definitely cannot duplicate his The Sixth Sense feat. He's no next Steven Spielberg. Do not attempt to find out on your own by watching this film.
noted.
TumugonBurahinwon't watch it. baka ma-21 na naman kami.
talaga? naexcite pa naman ako kasi fan ako ng sixth sennse, unbreakable at the signs.
TumugonBurahinAng ganda kaya ng 21. Sabagay, mga may gambling tendencies kami kaya nagustuhan namin.
TumugonBurahinI think M Night movies are an acquired taste... I liked most of his previous movies but I don't expect a lot of people to.
TumugonBurahinI'm basically trying to tell you, Jules, that I will still watch this movie... and I don't appreciate you telling people not to. Besides, you shouldn't make reviews of these kinds of movies!!! Your "poisoning-the-well" if you know what I mean. >:p
TumugonBurahin...and don't compare him to Spielberg. It would be fair to compare him to Stephen King. M Night's more of a writer than movie-maker. M Night takes a more active role in making the movies than Mr. King, though. I find the tv and movie adaptation of Stephen King's books to be quite cheap.
TumugonBurahinHaven't read Shyamalan books nga lang.
i think it's the time of the month, andrew.
TumugonBurahinI am a fan of M. Night, I have been seen I first saw the Sixth Sense. As I have said in my reply to Boom, I have seen all his films from the Sixth Sense to the present except for the Lady in the Water since I did not realize that it is a film of his. But I sense some sort of deterioration in his films and as a fan, I am beginning to get disappointed. and who
TumugonBurahinSobrang fan ka ba ni M. Night? Sorry, Andrew. Anyway, I did not tell you to read my review. Hehehehe! And why is this movie different from other films? I tell my opinion about it and for me, it is not worth spending our money on. And in my opinion, if a person is a mature reader and film viewer, "poisoning the well" will have no effect on him or her. He can still regain a sense of objectivity, make his own decisions and opinions.
TumugonBurahinHahahaha! Thank you, Perps! Amp (Andrew's meaning)!
TumugonBurahinIf you have been following M. Night's career, as I have been, you would know that am not the first one to compare him to Spielberg (not as a writer of course, but as a director.) When the Sixth Sense came out, Night was acclaimed and hailed in Hollywood as the next Spielberg because of how he builds excitement in his film. AS A FAN, I am saddened that M. Night is not the genius that I have thought him to be.
TumugonBurahinI will still watch his upcoming films and I hope I get my money's worth the next time. And I would still make a review of them and advice people on whether or not they watch a particular film. So Read on, Andrew. Read on. :D
TumugonBurahinaway na ito! sabunutan! andrew pinlac vs. jules hernando!
TumugonBurahinSi Boom nanggagatong!
TumugonBurahinSixth sense none the richer
TumugonBurahinI don't want you to compare him to Spielberg since their genres are soooooo not the same.
TumugonBurahinIt's like comparing someone who makes comedies with someone who makes horror flicks.... like comparing charlie chaplain to frank sinatra.... like comparing steaks to ice cream. It's that far out. ya dig?
And I hope you understand that the way you made this review really spoils an M Night movie for me. I like to go see these kinds of movies without any expectations. It's fine to hear that a comedy flick is funny or disappointing... an action movie has sucky or awesome fight scenes... an era movie is tragic or inspiring...but never... ever... poison the well for a movie that depends heavily on plots and twists. I hope you have better judgment in making your reviews.
And even if you didn't tell me to read your review... duh! It's only natural that I read it since it's a movie I'm excited to watch.
Sorry if I seem hostile. Just felt warfreak all of a sudden. Peace, Jules! hehehe.
Don't worry. I'll make it a point to comment again as soon as I watch the movie and I actually end up agreeing with you.
haha!
TumugonBurahinsira ka toshi!
sa pula sa puti!
TumugonBurahinSiyempre, bro. Peace! Hahahaha. There's a relatively positive review of the film on the Inquirer last Saturday. The others are not that kind, so read at your own risk. Siguro, I'll begin na rin all my reviews with that statement: Read at your own risk.
TumugonBurahinGaling talaga ni Toshi sa ganito. Remember the Rina Barado joke! It sort of started a trend and... a love team! Nag-die out 'yata yun trend, but not the love team.
TumugonBurahinEpekto yata ito ng hindi pagkain ng rice! Hehehe! Uy, may connect 'yun sa film! *wink *wink
TumugonBurahinHoooy! Tahimik na! Hahahaha.
TumugonBurahinsinong hindi kumakain ng kanin? rice crisis!
TumugonBurahinSi Andrew. Kaya tingnan mo din reaction niya sa Panda review mo! Kumain na kasi... Sabagay, umeepekto naman kasi.
TumugonBurahinwhatever, unilever!
